Coming by motorway A4 Torino-Trieste at toll booths Lisert toll. Then, follow the label Koper (Koper, Isola) and Pula (Pola, Puglia). Do not follow signs for Slovenia, because you might be lead to Ljubljana. After about 40 km following signs for Koper will take you to the old Italian-Slovenian border crossing Rabuiese. Here begins the secondary road that will avoid the Slovenian Vigneti. The basic rule is to follow the yellow signs indicating the road, not the green ones that show the highway. The biggest problem is that the cities of Koper and Pula are rarely shown on a yellow tag, so you need to follow the markings are Škofije and Bertoki (Bertocchi)

0 km - Rabuiese
Moving of the former Customs point Rabuise turn right after 10m and to the gas station. While you remain on the left side of highways, immediately after the petrol station, turn right and after few meters turn left at the rate of the Hrvatini (Crevatin) and Škofije. Continue in the direction Škofije and cross the overpass (which goes under the freeway) to the stop and follow the signs Plavje Škofije.

2.4 Km - Škofije
Passing through the village Škofije reach the first roundabout, onto the second exit - deans and then Koper.

3.5 km - circuits
After a slight downhill coming up to another roundabout where you follow Bertoki (Bertocchi)

5.8 km - Bertoki (Bertocchi)
Once, passing parallel to the highway, you reach the next roundabout (made recently, before it blocks the intersection) where you will go to the third exit towards St. Anton. After a short climb you have to turn right at the first intersection in the direction of Koper. After that, continue straight.

8.5 km - Koper
Coming to the big intersection hold the left. With your left you will pass the cemetery and the Koper wine, while your right hand will be the entrance to the highway that leads to Trieste. At this intersection turn left. After about 300m you will reach traffic lights where you turn left towards Pula.

After about 14 km you will arrive at the border crossing with the Croatian - Dragonja.

Brief guidelines for the bypass road Trieste - Škofije - Bertoki (Bertocchi) - Koper (Koper)

Former border crossing Rabuiese, after 10m turn right into the gas station after you turn right. At the rate you turn left, and following the footsteps left again. At the first roundabout take the second exit. At the second roundabout take the second exit also. At the third roundabout take the third exit. After 200m turn right in direction of Koper. Follow the road until the end and turn left. After 300m at the first traffic light, turn left towards Pula. At the next traffic lights go straight, always in the direction of Pula.
